가자!~ Korean BBQ!

This is my second time visiting Ssikkek korean BBQ but this time at the Junction 10 outlet. The dinner buffet starts at 5.30pm but be sure to make an early reservation because before you know it, it's already full! The first time, I went to the Chinatown outlet and it was quite awesome, the food were good and there were even live cooking session where the chef made this delicious kimchi wrap~

However, this time round, there wasn't a live cooking session and the wrap wasn't there :( But there is a lot of meat for you to choose from! From all the korean BBQ I have tried, I think I still prefer the one at Amoy Street so I shall go there again soon and blog about it!

This is the new grill they are using, it appears to be using some kind of infra-red technology to cook the food.

The cooked food available! So, let's look.
Fried rice 볶음밥: It tasted average, not bad but not good enough for me to go for seconds.
Japchae : This is not very nice, the outlet at Chinatown & Amoy street has better ones.
Some kind of chicken: Normal.
Tteokbokki 떡볶이: Not bad, the rice cake is flavorful and soft.
Onion Rings: The onion was un-breakable. Haha. It's not the kind where you bite and it will break.

Overall, the food is okay but one thing missing is the marinated pork which I loveeee. They do provide free flow soft drinks and tea which is a plus point.

People who are living in the West area, when you are craving for some Korean BBQ, do go down to Junction 10 and satisfy your craving! Don't have to travel all the way to town ever again~

Fine dining?

Went to have lunch at this place my uncle introduced me to. It is a Japanese store, when you look at the food, you will never expect it to be from a coffee shop. The food is so delicately plated and it just looks gorgeous, like what you would get from a high end restaurant.

Let's take a look!

This is the front of the shop. The frames you see at the back is the menu.

This is the curry udon, look at how beautiful it is. It comes with the tofu.

This is the fried chicken, the sauce on top of the chicken is absolutely fabulous. The fried lotus root is awesome too! This set comes with the tofu and the rice.

The best thing about all this is the price! It's not very expansive, so you're getting fine dining quality yet kopitiam price.

Italian cuisine that will not burn a big hole in your pocket.

Let's talk about one of my favourite Italian restaurant. Mainly not because it is dirt cheap, but also because the food and service is freaking awesome! So which restaurant is it? SAIZERIYA - I went to the one in Bukit Timah this time. Their food is very very very cheap, they don't have service charge but their service is damn good.

The photos don't really do justice this time because I just want to get the photo taking over and done with because I just want to sink my teeth in all those goodness.

Mushroom soup. Delicious. Serving is a little small but since it's cheap, let's not 'hiam'.

Chicken Stew. This is okay, quite normal.

You can choose this to act as your rice if you like. Looks plain but it taste good, it's like break but it is a little salty and sweet which makes it goes well with everything.

THE escargot. THE best. This is only like $5+, and it is freaking delicious, the sauce on top is something like onions with olive oil and it's so good, so so good. This is a MUST-TRY when you go there!

I forgot what this is, means it is not very nice or special. If I'm not wrong, it's some chicken mushroom spaghetti.

The steak. Don't get affected by the blood in this picture okay.

Baked fish with cream sauce. I like this because I like fish and I think the cream sauce is quite good.

DESSERT!
Mango Mousse Cake. Nice, soft and fluffy. Mousse is sweet and tangy yet not too sour. Good!

Tiramisu. Love their tiramisu, it's very good. You must eat it as a whole, like get all the layers. It's bitter but before the bitterness can set in, the sweetness comes out and fill your heart with love~ Ahhh, so cliche but it's true. MUST-TRY.

Okay, that's all for Italian!
