Eggs and Berries.

Honestly speaking, I wasn't that excited when my mum told me we were going to try out Eggs and Berries cause anyone who knows me personally will know that I prefer Asian cuisine more than Western.

I went to the newly opened outlet at Jurong Point & ordered quite a lot of dishes. The atmosphere was not bad, service was good, a bit pricey but for the presentation of the food I think it's quite worth it.

Soup of the day - Mushroom Soup ($6.90) - Creamy and thick soup, if you like milky and creamy stuff you will like this. Price is a little pricey as I've stated above but I mean look at the swirl of oil at the top, at least it looks pretty. haha.

I only tried the drink with strawberries floating on the top. The rest are not mine so I can't comment much on them, ha. The one I got was Twinnings mango strawberry tea but I feel that it's a bit too thick for my liking, was expecting a refreshing and light tea but the taste was still good!

Aglio Olio King River Prawn ($19.90) - Looks amazing right? The pasta was a little too salty for my liking so I didn't finish it, felt that the poached egg on aglio olio doesn't really match BUT the king prawn, that was good! Baked with some mushrooms and cheese, it was delicious, too bad there's only one.

Steak & Egg ($18.90) - I just found out that in the menu it says served with rosti but it's actually hashbrown in the plate. Okay, the steak was kinda thin, tasted normal. Eggs are beautiful, baked beans so awesome! & the pancakes, wow, just wow. I am not a dessert person but this pancake made me go crazy.

Grilled Chicken Leg ($18.90) - At this point of time, I just want to let the chefs know that "I understand you make perfect eggs." haha, they have eggs everywhere! The chicken was normal, taste like any other chicken chop.

So, remember how I was raving about the two tiny pancakes just now? At first, I didn't wanted to order dessert because we were so full from the mains but after having the tiny pancakes, I was like OMG I NEED TO ORDER MORE!
Mango Tango ($16.90) - Tiny pancakes are back~ I wish everyone made tiny pancakes instead of regular sized ones cause it makes me want to eat it more I don't know why.. There were some funny issue when ordering this because I was asking the waiter if the mangoes were sweet or more on the sour side & he said, "uhm, sweet.. but even if the mangoes are sour, at least the pancakes are still sweet right.." I was like HUH.

That aside, the mangoes were AWESOME, damn sweet and soft and the fresh cream were nice and light without making you sick. All pancakes are served with maple, chocolate & strawberry sauce but I love the maple cause it taste exactly like the ones at MCD, I've tried so many maple syrup but to me, MCD's one is hard to top.

Homemade Creme Brulee ($4.90) - I admit that I ordered this cause of the cute looking glass egg container. It wasn't anything spectacular so I won't recommend you to get this.

So, in conclusion, I think that Eggs and Berries is worth going again! I won't get the pasta but the meat stuffs are not bad and the sausages in the menu looks promising too.
