Kiseki + A shopaholic's life.

What's better than food and shopping, introduced my friend to this Japanese buffet restaurant called Kiseki. They serve really cheap lunch buffets during weekdays and the food are really good and worth the money so do check it out!

After eating, we decided to move on to our favourite hobby which is SHOPPING! Went thrifting today at a shop called New2U & let me tell you, it's the best place ever because everything is so freaking cheap! I bought three items for less than $10 combined! Want to know more? Check out my thrifting post here!

How can we stop at just one shop right, we moved on to Bugis Junction - Street - Bugis+ to continue our adventure! From Bras Basar, we wanted to walk to Bugis Junction but the fact that we are street idiots who has a zero sense of direction, we decided to give up and take the train instead. Took the downtown line and I was so amazed by how the train looks cause its so cute! Couldn't resist snapping photos of it and thus resulting in me looking like a tourist.

Went to Bugis street and I just can't seem to control myself  so I went crazy and started spending money like running water. Bought some really nice stuff! Wanted to vlog but I'm too lazy so yeah, I bought lots of stuff - skirt, romper, tops, etc~~ Spent so much money but I'm so happy~

Hope you have fun reading!

Thrifting - Why spend $20 when you can spend $2?

Thrift shopping is the BIG thing now as everyone loves to shop but doesn't want to spend too much. I used to frequent Salvation Army's Praise Haven but I only go there because my family wants to. I didn't buy anything and didn't know that there will be good stuffs there. However after reading a lot of thrifting posts, I changed my mind and decided to dig for treasures in thrift shops!

*I wanted to vlog but I'm really busy so I will just talk about my hauls :)

These are the thrift shops that I've already been to:

Salvation Army - Praise Haven Thrift Store (Bukit Timah)

500 Upper Bukit Timah Road S(678106)

Mondays - Thursdays 10am to 6pm

Fridays & Saturdays 10am to 9pm
Closed on Sundays

They sell lots of stuff! From furniture to clothes to gadgets, they have it all! Every Wednesday there's 50% off for furniture so do check it out! From my experience, their stuffs are not exactly very very cheap which means that averagely, a dress there may cost you around $15 which is actually the price you can get from Bugis street.

What I bought there:
- Archie Comics! (Double digest for $4, normal for $2)
Not exactly the cheapest thing but compared to the normal retail price, its already 50% off~
- Two tops, each for $5

96 Waterloo Street, Singapore (187967)

This is going to be one of my favourite thrift shop now & I am sure I will go back again to check it out! This shop is just about a 5 mins walk from Bras Basar MRT station. The shop is not very big but they do sell quite a lot of things! The stuffs are all very very cheap and if you are a student, do go on a Tuesday because you are entitled to a 50% discount (except certain items).

What I bought there:
I bought 3 tops! And guess how much it cost in total? *drumroll* $6!! Each top is $2! And it's really pretty and one is mphosis! I was supposed to vlog and show you guys but since I didn't have time for that, look at the picture below :) That's one of the top that I bought and it features my other cheap deals~ Haha.

I will be looking for more thrift shops & blog about them so stay tune!

Fleak Out!

Have you guys went to the mega flea held at Suntec City?

I went on Saturday with my friend Doris and it wasn't as 'mega' as I thought it would be but I still got some awesome deals! We reached the convention center around 11+ but a lot of the booths were not fully set up yet so we decided to go for our lunch and come back later.

Lunch!
I was craving for la mian so we went to Din Tai Feng for lunch.. Spent so much time looking for the restaurant and the directory was our best friend for the day! Tried Din Tai Feng a very long time ago and it wasn't a good experience at all.. Decided to give it a second chance this time but sad to say, they disappoint again :(

 Hot & Spicy Noodles - $6.80

I ordered this noodle, it's new on the menu and it sounds good but when it came I was shock because the serving was so small! (I think the $4.50 pasta from Saveur has a bigger serving than this.) The flavour was good but it wasn't as spicy as what the menu said it would offer.

I don't think I would go back again and I don't know why so many people go to this restaurant because there's so many chinese restaurants out there that are so much better than this!!

Time To Shop!
Okay, so after the meal, we went back to shop!!

Walked around and we tried to really shop and dig through all the stuff but I guess we were both lazy bums cause we squat for awhile to dig through clothes and gave up after awhile cause we were tired!

View my vlog below for more details on the flea and my hauls for the day!

The flea also sells food so we decided to get the chee cheong fun as it's damn cheap~
The food is awesome (chee cheong fun $1.90 - for just this amount, they give you the rolls, yam cake and even some fried stuff in it! & they even threw in a free pastry!) and we were like hobos sitting on the floor but someone behind us was even more extreme cause they brought a picnic mat!

After the flea, we went to town for more shopping!

Dinner!
Just nice the both of us both wanted to eat Popeyes so we decided to go to the one at 313 somerset. However it wasn't a very pleasant experience too because the staffs there were quite rude and weird. Popeyes serves such delicious food and its such a waste to hire such incompetent workers that ruin their reputation. Popeyes boss needs to do an undercover boss episode in Singapore to fine tune their reputation here.

Okay goodbye~
